Studying abroad has become a common trend for many students today. The college students of one country can go to other countries for graduation. There might be various reasons for a student to move out of his own country and study on the environment of some other countries. There are many advantages of studying abroad and some of the disadvantages too.
Advantages of studying abroad
Studying abroad might be an opportunity for a student to see the world. A student studies for a long time in his own country. Studying in own country for long time may not provide more opportunity to learn new things. A student always goes to same colleges and schools for many years learning the same syllabus. If the same student go abroad for study , he learns many things. He can see new structures of land and also experience a new environment.
A student can also learn new cultures. The traditions and cultures of different countries are different. The way people speak there , the way they behave and the way they live is different . A new student can learn these things and can adjust with them. He can learn some new languages. He can learn the good aspects of the people residing there.
A Student may feel uneasy or uncomfortable while talking with his International friends for the first time. But the hesitation disappears slowly as he becomes more familiar with them. He learns to live in group with them. He can learn how to communicate and convince them. He can learn their good habits.
The most importantly, he can get better education there. The education of own country might be traditional but in foreign countries like Australia , Canada , USA, Japan etc, education is based on modern technologies. A student can learn many skills and can learn to use the modern technologies . These countries focus more on practical education rather than theory . Some of Asian countries are mostly based on theory.
Disadvantages of studying abroad
Besides advantages, there are also some disadvantages of studying in abroad . It is more important to know about our own country rather than knowing the history of other country . Many youths don’t pay interest on knowing the history of own country. They are often attracted by the well developed infrastructures of developed countries. They want to settle in abroad after they complete their study which creates negative impact on the country they were born . Moreover , some students maybe addicted by easily available drugs and make bad company which may destroy their life.
In conclusion , it is good to study in Abroad. We can learn many things which we can’t learn in our own country . We can learn about the economy of developed countries. We can learn multiple languages. We can expand relationship with our foreign friends but we must always ignore the bad friends and bad company . Thus, there are both positive and negative impacts of studying abroad.
