- Lack of fertilizers: The biggest problem that the farmers are facing is chemical fertilizers. They don’t get fertilizers for their fields. Due to this productivity is less. Government provides very limited amount of fertilizers to its citizens. Due to this the cost of fertilizers is also high.
- Lack of irrigation facility: Farmers also face irrigation problems. The streams of water which were made previously to make the reach of water source to the fields of farmers are disappearing nowadays . The streams are filled with mud and roads are constructed. The facility of electricity is not reached in most of the parts of the country for irrigation.
The farming in Nepal is a still done in traditional way . Farmers are uneducated . They don’t have knowledge about the seeds and fertilizers they use in the field . They use fertilizers as they like . There is no one to teach and guide them.
