Mobile phone is one of the most beautiful invention on this planet . It is a small tool but very powerful tool. It is designed in such a way that it can perform many tasks smartly. So, it is also called smartphone . Today, people of all over the world uses smartphone in their daily lives. Children and adults use mobile phones more.
Advantages of mobile phones
It is best friend of almost all the youngsters. People carry it with them wherever they go. Some of the advantages of mobile phones are:
1. Communication
Few decades ago , it was very difficult to communicate with friends, family members or relatives who were living far away. There were only few means of communication like writing letter. People used to write a letter and send to destination using modes of transport such as horseback, messenger on food and even by pigeons . As the development happened, telephone came in access with common people. They wear able to talk easily then . But telephone was not wireless and it was costly for common people. They had to remember all the numbers whom they wanted to call. The communication became easiest after smartphone was available for all.
Today, we can communicate with anyone staying anywhere in the world. We can talk with anyone by text , audio or video. Mobile phone and internet have connected people all over the world. Even one touch on the screen of mobile can make a huge difference.
2. Business
The work of mobile phones are not limited just to communication . People buy and sell things using mobile phones and internet. Such process is termed as digital marketing. We can choose our best products and buy them in just one click. Before we had to go to Malls and Markets to buy clothes, home products , health care products, food and many other products . But today, the world is not the same . We can buy any products of the world sitting at home.
3. Mobile banking and making payments
The old generation people still won’t believe that our bank is on our mobile phone. Every Bank have their own bank apps and mobile banking service today . We can transfer money from our bank account to our relatives or else bank account within a second using our phone. We can also make payments of electricity , drinking water, internet and so on . We can book tickets for cinema and other such services.
4. Online Learning
Due to Covid -19, all the schools and colleges were closed . No one was allowed to go out of the home . It was difficult for students to go school and study. At the same time , students started learning using their mobile phones. Use of mobile phones made the study easy and possible in the pandemic.
Disadvantages of Mobile phones 1.Effects on health
Mobile phone emits harmful radiation called radio frequency radiation. The one who uses mobile for long time gets problem like vision imbalance. Many research proves that it can cause brain tumor . The RF radiation is carcinogenic in nature . Moreover, tears coming from eyes, eye irritation, hangover are caused by excess use of mobile phones.
2. Addiction
Many children are addicted to mobile phones in some ways . Some are addicted to play video games and some use social media platforms like Facebook, YouTube and Instagram . Initially , children use mobile phones for entertainment purpose. But they are addicted to it while they start using daily.
3. Effects on study
Many children have lost focus from study due to mobile phones. They spend most of time using mobile phones . They cannot memorize the answers for exams. Whenever , they try to study they feel lazy , sleepy and don’t study.
Although there are disadvantages of mobile phone, it can be a best tool if we use it to do our works . This tool should be used to finish our purpose. It should not be used for passing and wasting time. Parents and teachers should teach their children about the harmful effects of using mobile phone and make them aware.
