Education is the most important thing for a human being. It is the most powerful weapon in the world. It can change the world . The status of women is not good in most of the developing country. Female education is that education especially for women to improve their life. In context of Nepal, there is great need of female education in schools and colleges for making the life of women better.
Present status of women in the society
Although male and female are like the two wheels of the same cart, female are not treated equally as male. Female are still considered as second class citizen of the country. Although there is a great role of women in making the house organized and beautiful ,they are not appreciated as much as they deserve. They work day and night to decorate the house but they are not paid nor respected. Male member of the family are often respected but not female member.
Male member of the family are sent to private schools for better education but female are not treated the same. Somehow, some educated parents send their daughters to good schools for better education but majority of people are not the same. Most of the part of Nepal is occupied with rural areas where there is lack of education. Parents themselves are illiterate. They themselves don’t know what is good and what is bad. Such people believe in superstitions and blind faith.
As majority of population of Nepal is occupied by women , the need of women education is the must. Women run the family . So they need well education, skills and training to run the family smoothly. They can teach their children if they are educated. They can know what is good and what is bad. They can be self dependent. They can earn money by themselves to fullfil their needs and demands. Education broadens the mind of an individual. So female education can teach women to do their best in every field.
Female education will help them to make decision on their own. It will enhance their capability of doing all kinds of work . If this education is given in schools and colleges then awareness among female will be spread . Women can make their decision in the family. They can take part in social and developmental activities. The society as well as country will be educated if women are educated because a mother can make her children literate.
How can we help women to be independent?
Finally, the development of the society and country is only possible if both male and female unite and work together. No any gender should be discriminated. Educated female should teach other uneducated women what is a good and what is bad . She should motivate others to be independent . Schools and colleges should be established for them to aware them, to train them and to make them independent . Male member of the family should also help women to be independent then only development in the country is possible.
